Martin was a much admired and respected member of our 1940's living history group. He played one of the leading roles in our 'allo 'allo sketch. Which raised donations for Blind Veterans. He was also the lead actor in many of our endevours on HMS Belfast & HMS Cavalier. During the past few years we have restored HMS Cavaliers guns to firing condition and demonstrate them to the public. Martin was a leading force in this task. When we hit a snag he would use his catch phase "It's only Engineering !" It was a pleasure to work with him.
